Listening to the Radio—Continued

You can name presets for easy identification. The preset

name may contain up to eight characters.

Select the preset you want to name (see

page 40).

Press the [MENU] button, and then use the

Up/Down []/[] buttons to select “Name

In?”.

Press [ENTER].

Press the [DISPLAY] button repeatedly to

select one of the following character

groups:

• “A” for uppercase letters.

• “a” for lowercase letters.

• “1” for numbers.

• Symbols can be entered in any group.

• Selecting letters:

Press the Up/Down []/[] buttons repeatedly to

select the available letters.

• Selecting symbols:

Press the PLAYLIST/FOLDER []/[] buttons

repeatedly to select: , . ’ : - & ( ) [ ] < > _ ; @ # ¥ $

To enter the next character, use the Previ-

ous/Next []/[] buttons to position

the cursor, and then select the character.

• Deleting characters:

To delete a character you’ve already entered, use

the Previous and Next []/[] buttons to

select it, and then press the [MENU] button to

delete it.

• Inserting a new character:

To insert a new character, use the Previous and

Next []/[] buttons to select the character

immediately after the insertion point. That charac-

ter flashes. Use the Up/Down []/[] buttons to

select the new character.

To cancel the Name In function, press the Stop [] but-

ton.

When you’ve finished entering the name,

press the [ENTER] button.

The preset is named and “Complete” appears on

the display.
